Advanced home care (ASIH)
Advanced healthcare in the home is often an alternative to inpatient hospital. This includes contact with doctors and nurses possible around the clock.
We treat patients of all ages and offer an alternative for patients with multiple diagnoses or serious chronic diseases. Cancer patients at various stages of the disease can also receive assistance, including with symptom alleviation. The goal is to provide holistic care, addressing the patient’s physical, mental, social and existential needs, to achieve the best possible quality of life.
In connection with the advanced home care operations, we also run two care units offering specialist palliative inpatient care.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP)
BUP provides specialist care for children and young people up to the age of 18 with mental health problems. BUP offers support and treatment for the whole family.
There are 14 local clinics within the county. There are also four intermediate care units that reinforce the care provided at the local clinics when more intensive care is needed. Children and young people with serious mental health problems such as severe depression, suicide attempts, serious eating disorders and psychosis come to the BUP clinic. The specialist units have expertise within specific fields such as sexual assault, family violence, migration-related problems, withdrawal symptoms and self-harming.
Research, education initiatives and systematic operational development are also carried out within BUP.
