Good care

SLSO provides safe and effective care and treatment in accordance with the best available knowledge. Ensuring that patients, clients and close relatives/friends feel that they are seen and heard is one important aspect of this work.

The care provided is characterised by a holistic approach, participation for patients and clients, good personal interaction and a high level of accessibility. Health-promoting and preventive ways of working are an integral part of the healthcare system. Our vision is to give “The right care, when and where you need it”.

By working together with Karolinska Institutet (KI) and other universities, we conduct research, training and projects in order to increase knowledge and develop the provision of care.

Quality assurance in healthcare

In order to provide good care, it is important to know what patients and clients think about the healthcare system. Regular national patient surveys are therefore conducted, and some of our units also conduct their own surveys. The results of these surveys are then incorporated into our quality assurance work.

Views and opinions

Regardless of whether you are a patient or are close to a patient, you should expect to feel satisfied with your experience of us and of the results of the care we provide.

We are always happy to hear your thoughts and opinions, which you should initially share with the healthcare unit you have had contact with. If, for any reason, this does not feel like the best option, there are other ways in which you can share your thoughts with us. See link.

ISO certification

Since April 2013, Stockholm County Healthcare Services has been certified for its work with quality assurance (ISO9001), the work environment (OHSAS 18001) and the environment (ISO 14001). At that time, we were only the second organisation within Region Stockholm to have received certification in all three areas.
